I could not be happier with Mary’s care of my boy Charley! Mary stayed with my 9+ year old, 75 pound rescue who is reactive with other dogs–but lovely with people–for a week while I was away. When I left my voluminous notes about Charley’s daily routine, medications, preferences, vet contact, etc, she appreciated the detail, saying that it let her know how best to care for him. I chose Mary in part because she is mature and experienced, and I believed that she would use good judgment in situations which might arise. Nothing out of the ordinary did, but I “listened” to her communications about how she allowed Charley, in his own time, to loosen up and come to trust her, rather than rushing in with eager-pressure to bond, as well as how she handled the choice to medicate in a brief thunderstorm (he is thunder-phobic). Those were exactly the right decisions. Moreover, I really appreciated Mary’s detailed, twice daily texts to me, letting me know how things were going and sending pictures of Charley–which is, of course, a “mom’s” delight. I am very grateful that Charley and I had the excellent level of care Mary provides and I would have no hesitation seeking her help again. Thank you so much!
